Redi-Jack Pipe Supports Do it Better: Everything You Want to Know

I've got to admit, I've got a redneck house. When we first moved in, the drain lines needed work, and we discovered that they were held in place with a few rocks stacked underneath them. If your water utility looks like this, you KNOW that it needs some help! But even if you're using standard pipe supports, you know the problems they can lead to. Fortunately, Red Hed's Redi-Jack pipe supports provide superior results and performance. Here's a quick look at how they beat the competition hands-down.

When you need a basic design that delivers, Redi-Jack pipe supports work well in a wide range of situations, including interior flanged ductile iron piping, wet well fittings and flanges, meter pits, valve vaults, meter and backflow prevention assemblies, backflow and temporary pipe assemblies near hydrants above ground and plastic piping systems that incorporate flanges. Originally designed for use as pipe-jacks in large meter, meter downsizing and backflow assembly projects, these stands provide support for piping during the installation process and final lock-in for a strong, durable finish. By developing it into an adaptable design, we worked with our partner foundries to develop the product line, which is still going strong 30 years later.

Our stand heads are custom-poured ductile iron, made to be bolted under the pipe to the back of the flange, creating a solid connection. This requires flange bolts 1/2"longer than typically required for the connection, ideally used with any #125/150 flange, but can be adjusted to create a custom pattern to accept #250 patterns. We use a 1/2" thick head on 2"-12" with a 125/150# flange pattern and the bottom of the head is threaded for the included 1" threaded rod with a heavy hex head, allowing for easy head adjustment in the field, 1" steel riser pipe and a 6"x6" base plate of 1/4" steel and drilled to accept wedges, anchors or concrete screws to lag it tot he floor. It includes a 36" long stand pipe, making it easy to work with any pipe 40" off the floor. The stand pipe can be cut close to the needed height, allowing you to reinsert the head and adjust as needed. Our 12"-24" stands have a blank head that we drill to your specific bolt pattern, creating a perfect fit with the same heavy head, a heavier riser tube of 1-1/4", 1" threaded rod and adjustment nut and the base plates are bumped up to 8"x8".

Our pipe supports are cast in American foundries and welded, painted and assembled in house using domestic steel when required. They weigh about 12 pounds for easy shipping anywhere in the country. For ease of installation, you can crane the fitting or valve onto one or more pipe stands, then adjust the nut until the fitting is in place. We've met customer's requirements for custom assemblies in a range of ways over the years.

By using Redi-Jack pipe supports for your water utility or industrial application, you're making a long-term investment in the stability and solidity of your system.
